And the pilot news just keeps on comin’. Today, it’s CW-oriented and we don’t hate it.
“Gossip Girl” vet Kevin Zegers is moving from the Upper East Side to “Georgetown,” Josh Schwartz’s new pilot for ABC. Zegers has landed a lead role opposite James Wolk in the DC-based drama; He’ll play Monty, a handsome and incredibly wealthy young stockbroker from a well-connected family. He is an old rival of Wolk’s Andrew and just proposed to an old girlfriend of Andrew’s.
“The Vampire Diaries” and “Chuck” actress Lauren Cohan has landed the lead role in The CW’s “Heavenly.” Also set to star in the pilot is “90210” star Ryan Eggold who is leaving the show at the end of this season.
Cohan will play Lily, a dedicated young attorney who teams up with a former angel, Dashiel (Ben Aldridge), to tackle cases at a legal aid clinic. The tagline? She saves clients’ butts while he saves their souls. Eggold will play a pastor whom the angel seeks counsel from.
What do you think of this pilot casting, Zappers? Which project interests you more — “Georgetown” or “Heavenly”?
