Now that the full “Guardians of the Galaxy” teaser trailer has been released, there’s plenty to analyze until it hits theaters. The trailer included scenes of Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel) in action, Nebula (Karen Gillan) facing off against Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and all kinds of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt).

The introduction of Star-Lord is a good sign that this action-packed movie has a great sense of humor.

So much of the trailer shows bits and pieces of the comic coming to life, but none more so than Rocket perched on Groot’s shoulder as they go on the offensive.

There’s only a quick shot of what will be an epic fight between Gamora and Nebula. Given their interaction in the comics, this should be one of the highlights of the movie.

All of these little moments put together, along with a glimpse at The Collector (Benicio del Toro) is enough to get any fan stoked for “Guardians.” 
If you’re wondering about the missing pieces though, director James Gunn gave an explanation to Total Film. “It’s important to add that we left out some of our coolest characters — Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser, Michael Rooker’s Yondu, and Glenn Close’s Nova Prime,” he says. “because we want to save them for the full trailer in a couple months.” That also goes for Cooper’s voicing of Rocket.
“Guardians of the Galaxy” is in theaters Aug. 1.
