Gwyneth Paltrow has been singing up a storm recently — performing at the Country Music Awards, the Grammys and the Oscars; turning in an unforgettable guest starring spot on “Glee” (she’ll reprise her role on Tuesday, March 8) and; of course, starring as a struggling twanger in “Country Strong.”
This despite raising two kids, nurturing a healthy acting career, wearing super-hot dresses on the Academy Awards red carpet and keeping up her self-appointed status as a taste-maker via her Web newsletter, GOOP.
Now the multi-talented star is reportedly in talks with Atlantic Records to record an entire country-fried album.
“Gwyneth’s agents have been talking to a number of labels about landing her a substantial record deal,” according to a source who spoke to the New York Post. “Those who have heard the music say it’s country pop.”
No comment yet from the other musician in the household — husband/Coldplay frontman Chris Martin — or from the man Gwynnie told Ryan Seacrest she’d most like to duet with: Jay-Z.
