Harry Potter is (officially) all grown up.
Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the most famous young wizard in the world, turns 21 Friday (July 23), and we’d just like to raise a glass to him in honor of the occasion. We’ll be at the Leaky Cauldron at happy hour.
]]>“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” — but he’s already taken strides to play more grown-up roles, whether on stage (“Equus”) or screen (the upcoming “Woman in Black” and a remake of “All Quiet on the Western Front”). Potter fans will get a sneak peek at “Deathly Hallows” Saturday at Comic-Con, and there are rumors (though that’s all they are at the moment) that members of the cast will make an appearance too. If you’re not there, though, you can watch the trailer below. Also below is a clip that made us certain we’d want to follow Radcliffe’s career after “Harry Potter” was done. It’s from HBO’s series “Extras,” and it features a then 17-year-old Radcliffe trying to act very grown-up. (Warning: There’s some profanity in the clip.) So cheers to you, Daniel Radcliffe, and many happy returns. Follow Zap2it and Zap2itRick on Twitter and Zap2it on Facebook for the latest TV, movie and celebrity news. Photo credit: Getty Images
