“Captain America: The First Avenger” star Hayley Atwell found herself a home in another Disney feature film. The actress revealed her involvement in the new live action “Cinderella” movie in a diary entry for Harper’s Bazaar while promoting her play “The Pride.”
“I am about to start filming Kenneth Branagh‘s new movie, ‘Cinderella,’ playing Cinderella’s biological mother at the beginning of the story, the embodiment of goodness and maternal love,” she writes. The next day, she adds, “I’ve had costume and wig fittings for Cinderella and then I jump back in the car and head to the theatre [for ‘The Pride’].”
Directed by Kenneth Branagh, “Cinderella” stars Lily James as the title character, “Game of Thrones'” Richard Madden as Prince Charming, Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother Lady Tremaine, Helena Bonham Carter as Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother and Stellan Skarsgard as the Grand Duke. It’s due in theaters on March 13, 2015.
