Behind on “Homeland”? Have no fear, Showtime subscribers, because the network is marathoning Season 2 before this weekend’s premiere of Season 3.
Showtime is airing all 12 episodes of “Homeland” Season 2 back-to-back starting at 12 p.m. ET on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29. Then the Season 3 premiere of “Homeland” takes place on Sept. 29 at 29 p.m. ET.
In “Homeland’s” Season 3 opener, fans will see the relationship between Saul and Carrie change dramatically. Their friendship has been strained more than once, but never quite like this.
“It’s a game-changer, but I will see that the ramifications of what you’ve seen definitely play out downstream,” co-showrunner Howard Gordon told Zap2it at the Summer TCA Press Tour. “The Saul/Carrie axis in some ways is every bit as the Carrie/Brody axis. I mean, he is her mentor, her father-figure, and she is his apprentice, disciple, daughter, and all those relationships are tested, are broken, are bent and in some ways this is the story of Carrie and Saul.”
