“Homeland’s” Morgan Saylor has booked a big screen gig as another famous daughter. She’ll play Julie in the upcoming Disney sports drama “McFarland,” with her onscreen dad being portrayed by Kevin Costner.
Deadline broke the news about Saylor’s role. According to the site, “McFarland” “tells the true story of ex-football coach White, who moves his family to rural McFarland, California and builds a cross-country running team out of the local school’s dirt poor and predominantly Mexican-American student body.” Also starring in the movie is Maria Bello as Costner’s wife.
Saylor is no stranger to the big screen, having appeared in movies like “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” and the upcoming “Jamie Marks Is Dead.” Still, she is best known for her role as Dana Brody in “Homeland,” and Saylor has really had a chance to come to the forefront as the character in Season 3. “Homeland” airs Sundays on Showtime at 9 p.m. ET.
