your hand if you never thought you’d live to see the day Mary Richards
and Sue Ann Nivens shared a prison cell in matching orange jumpsuits. No
Well, that day is Jan. 19, 2011, when “Hot in Cleveland” debuts its second season. And though the episode will likely focus on its three primary heroines — Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick — and whatever middle-aged men they’re trying to bed, it’s Betty White‘s onscreen reunion with former “Mary Tyler Moore Show” co-star Mary Tyler Moore that has us excited.
On her Jan. 18 appearance on “The View,” the recently 89-year-old White debuted a clip of their first scene together, and it’s quite out of character for Moore.
White plays a harmonica, lamenting her incarceration for hiding stolen
property, Moore wakes from her nap on the adjacent bench to reveal an
“M” scrawled into the wall.
“What’s with the big ‘M’?” asks White.
“It stands for murder,” Moore snarls.
We love it. For the full clip, and some snippets of White talking about her latest gig, watch her interview on “The View”:
