The White Stripes front man Jack White just announced his new solo album “Blunderbuss.” It will feature all new songs, written by White. This is the singer’s first solo offering and will reportedly be more personal than anything he’s done before.
“I’ve put off making records under my own name
for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented
under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do
with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my
own canvas,” White said in a statement on Monday.
The Grammy-winning band The White Stripes officially split in February 2011, after 14 years together. “Blunderbuss” will hit stores on April 24th. The first single on the album, “Love Interruption” goes on sale at 9 p.m. PST/12 a.m. EST. We’ll post the official version as soon as it’s out, but you can hear it now on Jack’s website, JackWhiteIII.com
