Two of James Franco‘s many, many projects are making the festival circuit in the coming month. “Palo Alto,” Gia Coppola‘s directorial debut based on Franco’s collection of short stories “Palo Alto: Stories,” is heading to the Telluride Film Festival and then to the Toronto International Film Festival. “Child of God,” Franco’s directorial effort based on the Cormac McCarthy novel of the same name, is also heading to the Venice Film Festival.
Festival trailers for both films have made their way online. Check out the trailer for “Palo Alto” — which stars Emma Roberts, Natt Wolff, Val Kilmer and Franco — here:
“Child of God” has a much shorter teaser, which comes courtesy of Deadline. It focuses solely on Scott Haze‘s character Lester Ballard. Check it out here:
These aren’t the only two films Franco has had in festivals in 2013. His take on “As I Lay Dying” had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, while “Interior. Leather Bar.” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
