Looks like Jane Quimby (Erica Dasher) is going to be able to keep up her double life for at least a little while longer, now that “Jane By Design” has been picked up for eight more episodes.
Deadline reports that ABC Family has added eight additional episodes for Season 1 of the original series, about a high-schooler who benefits from a case of mistaken identity and lands a plum job as an assistant at a fashion house in New York City. Andie MacDowell plays her Miranda Priestley-like boss.
The second half of Season 1 will be paired with the new comedy “Baby Daddy,” drama “Bunheads” and reality series “Beverly Hills Nannies” over the summer. Though not as buzzy as some of the network’s other series (there’s no “Pretty Little Liars” or A in the mix), ABC Family announced recently that “Jane By Design” was the No. 1 show in its time period among female teens and females 12-34.
“Jane By Design” finishes its original 10-episode run on Tuesday, March 6.
