Jane Seymour, who has been widely quoted as saying she knew of additional children Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered out of wedlock, says she was misquoted.
“I was highly and purposely misquoted by the press,” Seymour said to TheWrap on Monday (May 23). “It pains me enormously.”
Schwarzenegger recently admitted to having fathered a son with Mildred Baena, a former member of his household staff.
Last week, CNN quoted Seymour as saying she wasn’t “remotely surprised” by news of Schwarzenegger’s affair and love child, adding, “I heard about two more [out of wedlock kids] somebody else knows about. I even met someone who knows him well.”
Seymour now says she was only repeating something she heard in the media. And although she does admit to saying she wasn’t surprised about the affair, she says she’s sorry she commented at all.
“In retrospect, going down that press line, I should have just shut my mouth and said nothing,” said Seymour.
