“Horrible Bosses” star Jennifer Aniston goes “Inside the Actors Studio” on Monday (July 11), and while we imagine there will be some talk about her new movie, what she says about one of her old films is what caught our ears.
Host James Lipton asks her about “The Break-Up,” which is one of her most successful movies — and which also was filmed right after she separated from her then-husband, Brad Pitt. She says the movie helped her get past the end of her marriage a little.
“It was just a beautiful human story about this couple breaking up, and I could kind of, you know — I was slightly familiar with the topic and issue,” she says in the clip above. “And so I honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exorcise some of that.”
Lipton also asks if what she was going through personally made filming the movie easier or tougher. “Easier, oddly. I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it,” she replies.
“You would think otherwise, because even the producers were like, ‘I don’t know if we should ask you to do this,’ and I was like, ‘Why not? Turn the page, let’s move on.”
Aniston also talks about what she did after shooting the final episode of “Friends” and how grateful she is for the show that made her career. That’s in the clip below; you can see the full episode at 8 p.m. ET Monday on Bravo.
