Jennifer Lopez has banned ex-boyfriend Ojani Noa from auditioning for “American Idol.” Apparently, he was going to try to sing in front of Lopez and the other judges at the L.A. auditions Wednesday (Sept. 22). Except Noa is 38 years old and nobody in L.A. sang for the judges Wednesday, as it was just the initial round of auditions. Reportedly Lopez told FOX not to let him anywhere near the auditions, which sounds like a smart move because he is apparently an idiot. [Radar Online]
“American Idol” is firing back at Ian Benardo, warning the former contestant to dismiss his lawsuit against them immediately, or he’ll end up paying the show’s enormous legal defense costs. Bernardo is suing “Idol” for sexual harassment, claiming they asked him to “gay it up” for their show. [TMZ]
Nigel Lythgoe will deliver the Keynote address at the first International Formats Forum held in Beijing, China on Nov. 11 and 12, 2010. Nigel will also be awarded the first IFFY Award Grand prize for Excellence in Worldwide Formats and will personally greet on stage the winner of the China Formats Competition. [FOX]
In his first solo show since the “Idol” tour wrapped, Lee DeWyze is performing in Arlington Park, a western suburb of Chicago. He’ll perform a 45 minute set starting Friday (Sept. 24) at 7:30 p.m. [The Daily Herald]
