When Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg wed later this year, don’t expect a big spectacular. “The View” co-host and New Kids on the Block singer/“Blue Bloods” star spoke to “Extra” about their upcoming nuptials and joked they won’t be anything like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s elaborate ceremony in Florence, Italy.
“We’re not getting married in Istanbul with eight million guests,” Wahlberg jokes.
His bride-to-be adds she won’t have multiple wedding gowns either, to which the actor replies, “No seven dresses, not going to happen … that’s their thing, good for them.”
What they can guaranteed is something understated. “We’ll have a small wedding in a really beautiful place and we both want to do it right this time,” Wahlberg says. We’ve both been married before and we want to make it special — this is the last wedding.”
The couple announced their engagement April 16 and have already had a venue reach out as a possible location.
McCarthy said of the Twitter invite she got from popular chain restaurant Applebee’s, “I thought it was very cute that Applebee’s tweeted us, so we want in on
it. We actually said maybe we should have them do the appetizers, or the wedding rehearsal dinner. It was really sweet of them.”
