Jessica Biel has joined the film about the making of “Psycho,” arguably director Alfred Hitchcock’s signature piece, reports Deadline. “Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho” is based on the 1990 book by Stephen Rebello, which the NY Times dubbed a “meticulous history” of the making of the film.
The book is now being adapted for the screen and will star Biel as Vera Miles, who played Lila Crane in “Psycho.” Scarlett Johansson has been cast as lead Janet Leigh, the famous Marion Crane, while James D’Arcy is rumored to be up for the role of Anthony Perkins. Helen Mirren has also been cast Alma Reville, Hitchcock’s wife from 1926 to his death in 1980.
We were sure about Biel as Vera Miles, until we found the above picture of her in “Easy Virtue” and now we can kinda see it (on the right is Miles, in “Psycho”). Either way, should be a fascinating look at an iconic film.
