Well, it’s official: the Jonas Brothers are no more. After the band canceled their tour, leading to speculation that there was trouble in on the horizon, they have confirmed to People that they’re going away.
“It’s over for now,” Kevin Jonas tells the magazine. That doesn’t mean it’s permanent, as Nick Jonas adds, “It’s really hard to say ‘forever’ … We’re closing a chapter, for sure.” Joe Jonas says the decision was unanimous.
The choice to breakup came early in October, when Nick told his brothers he was unsure of their future. “I was feeling kind of trapped,” he explains. “I needed to share my heart with my brothers.” Now the countdown begins to the inevitable reunion tour.
The brothers shot to fame on the Disney Channel, staring in “Camp Rock” and its sequel, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.”
