Move over “The Avengers 2” and “S.H.I.E.L.D.”: Joss Whedon says he’s planning to get “Dr. Horrible 2” in front of the camera in 2013.
“We really want to shoot it next year. We feel strong about the idea and we have a bunch of stuff written,” Whedon tells Entertainment Weekly in an interview done at the end of 2012.
So why is he determined to make this project the same year he’s also directing the “S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot and writing the script for “The Avengers 2”? Because smaller projects like “Dr. Horrible 2” and his indie “Much Ado About Nothing” help keep him connected to his fans, of course.
“These giant things take three years to make,” he says. “If you don’t have anything else coming out, people who are used to having you once a week feel like they’ve lost you to a certain extent.”
