Justin Bieber isn’t happy just to be on your TV, computer, radio and cell phone (and maybe your dreams? We don’t judge). The guy has set his sights on conquering the silver screen and the written word as well.
The 16-year-old will star in a 3D concert/tour video and pen his own memoirs, he announced Monday, Aug. 2.
]]>tweets. “This is so sick!! Gonna come out in theatre’s Worldwide Valentine’s 2011!!! I’m taking this thing worldwide thanks to u all!! Hyped!! the story the songs the concert. Can u imagine how big my man @kennyhamilton ‘s forehead will b on a movie screen. Lol. Sorry kenny. Luv yah. a lot happened today. a lot of news…. oh yeah and i went swimming. that was fun too. chill day :)”
“An Inconvenient Truth” director Davis Guggenheim is in talks to direct, reports Deadline.
Okay, we can totally see the throngs of his fans going to see him singing, dancing and being his usual animated self on the big screen … but a book? Will they have the patience to flip through those pages? It’s a little more work than just reading his Twitter feed.
Well, HarperCollins is hoping that loading up the memoir with pictures will help. “First Step 2 Forever: My Story” will be an illustrated memoir, a hardcover book that will contain never-before-seen photos, and will drop in October.
“Every day I wake up and count my blessings. My fans have played such a large part in all of this and they help me live my dreams every day. I’m excited to share just a little bit more of my world with them through this book,” says Bieber. “Between the behind-the-scenes pictures and the story I think this is going to be something they can all enjoy. This is just another way for me to say thank you to my fans.”
Hmm, even with pictures, we’re not completely sold on his memoirs. Sure, he’s had a lot of success, but he’s only 16. Then again, dare we underestimate the buying power (and fever) of Biebs’ fans?
