Justin Timberlake has finally confirmed when “The 20/20 Experience” follow-up album will be released. After a series of rumors swirled about the release date back in March, JTims took to Instagram to confirm that the album will drop on Sept. 30.
Initially it had been reported that the second Timberlake album of 2013 would come out in November. Questlove had revealed the news on Twitter, writing, “Spoiler alert. 20/20 Vol 2 comes out in nov. (10 songs now…..10 songs later= 20 vision).”
Timberlake later came forward to set the record straight — sort of. “I need to clear up a rumor,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “Those rumors are true.” The “those rumors” only seems to refer to the fact Timberlake’s new album is on the way and that it will have 10 tracks.
In October, Timberlake is slated to begin touring around the world solo to promote both “20/20 Experience” records. The tour starts in Montreal on Oct. 31, and will continue through locations like Nashville, Las Vegas and Denver. The upcoming album is said to include a mix of new songs and unreleased material from the first “20/20 Experience” record.
