It’s been 21 years since little kid rappers Kris Kross released their debut album, “Totally Krossed Out,” and unleashed their one big hit, “Jump,” onto an unsuspecting public. The duo were little more than a one hit wonder, but they sparked a craze that had kids wearing their clothes backwards because, hey, it was the cool thing to do.
Two albums followed “Totally Krossed Out,” but failed to come close. Now, according to TMZ, Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith and Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly will reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of So So Def Recordings next month.
Kris Kross will join other 90s acts like Bow Wow, Da Brat, and Xscape for an all-star concert, in Atlanta, to celebrate Jermaine Dupri’s record label. Dupri produced all three Kris Kross albums. So far no announcement has been made on any further concerts or whether or not they’ll be wearing their clothes backwards. Though, if they don’t, what’s the point?
