Kurt Russell has hopped on board the “Fast & Furious” train as filming on the seventh installment of the franchise is underway. Though his character has not been revealed. Russell is clearly a welcome member of the “Fast & Furious 7” family.
Vin Diesel, who is known for his penchant for sharing behind-the-scenes moments from his movies with fans on his Facebook page, posted a photo showing him, Paul Walker and Russell shooting a scene. They’re shown in a room filled with old car parts, but clearly aren’t doing any auto work. All three men are suited up and look to be having a pretty serious conversation, so it seems unlikely Russell is playing a flat-out villain, despite some rumors to the contrary.
“Kurt Russell, such an honor to work with,” Diesel writes on his Facebook. “P.s. One from set.”
“Fast & Furious 7” is slated to hit theaters on July 11, 2014. “Insidious” director James Wan is helming the project, which sees Jason Statham starring as its villain. Returning actors include Diesel, Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, as well as “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” star Lucas Black. Newcomers to the “Fast” team are Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Djimon Hounsou.
