Instead of a photo on Gaga’s Twitter, there is now just the infamous “Twitter egg,” usually reserved for social-networking newbies who haven’t uploaded any imagery yet. Will a new photo arrive shortly? That might be the case. There is also the chance that this is a reference to Lady Gaga’s 2011 Grammy-arrival egg vessel. In that case, the singer was promoting her earlier album, “Born This Way.”
Far more disturbing than a photo change, Lady Gaga’s Twitter bio line is no longer personal. The short note now reads:
“This interface has been shutdown temporarily. Please check back for updates.”
This doesn’t particularly sound like Gaga — it’s more like a robot has taken control (Skynet? Or has Twitter simply become self-aware?). On the bright side, at least this indicates that there might be more from Lady Gaga — hopefully including an explanation — in the future.
