Lady Gaga doesn’t want you to wait. That’s probably why the singer has released snippets from two new ARTPOP tracks, “Swine” and “MANiCURE,” via Twitter and YouTube. While none of the released audio is much good — something done on purpose — it does give fans a taste of what they’re about to get.
The released YouTube videos are of rehearsals for the iTunes Festival happening in London on Sunday (Sept. 1). Obviously not as spectacular as whatever is coming for the real performance, the video for “MANiCURE” does offer a look of the dancing that will happen.
Fortunately for those who want to know the words, Lady Gaga did tweet some of the lyrics to her tracks. For “Swine,” she posted:
“Maybe I should have a little more just to stay out of my mind? Cause its when I’m not thinkin’ with you that I act like a Swine! #Sept1”
Fans can get even more of a look at the words of “MANiCURE” in the Twitter feed.
YOU’RE THE MEDICINE I NEED TO HEAL THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL
PUT SOME LIPSTICK ON PERFUME YOUR NECK AND SLIP YOUR HIGH HEELS ON RINSEEE AND CURL YOUR HAIR LOOSIN’ YOUR HIPS AND GET A DRESS TO WEAR
HEAL THE WAY YOU MAKE MEEE FEEEEEL
IM THE ONE WHOSE BEEN COMIN’ ROUND LOOKIN’ TO LOVE-IN-YOU YOU’RE THE MEDECINE I NEED TO HEAL ME CAUSE I’M ADDICTED TO LOVE (MAN-CURE!) SAVE ME CAUSE IM ADDICTED TO LOVE (MAN-I CURE!)
As for the poor sound quality, Gaga was careful to explain that via Twitter as well:
“THE SOUND QUALITY OF THESE CLIPS HAS BEEN OBSTRUCTED TO GIVE YOU A TASTE OF ARTPOP BUT ULTIMATELY CONFUSE YOU UNTIL SUNDAY. #SWINEFEST”
For the full effect, fans really will have to wait until the Sunday show. Until then, check out the “Swine” rehearsal below:
