Lady Gaga is almost always on tour supporting her latest record and touching millions of little monsters’ hearts with her claws — and now, her apparel is hitting the road, too. If you can call it “apparel.”
The meat dress that Gaga wore to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010 has been preserved and cured (it’s now more of a jerky dress, if you will). It was then painted to look like the original dress, since after all that preservation, it probably looked like a plain old shriveled piece of leather.
It’s now part of a traveling exhibition from the Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s “Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power” tour. It’s currently on display at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, where it will remain until January 6. It’ll then head to Omaha, Seattle, and Phoenix.
How far would you travel to see a very large hand painted slab of beef jerky that once touched Lady Gaga’s skin?
