Lady Gaga may be on top of the world as 2010 comes to a close, but she’s no match for severe weather.
The “Alejandro” singer was forced to cancel a Paris concert on Sunday (Dec. 19) due to a severe storm, much to her frustration. “All 28 of my trucks for the Monsterball [tour] were detained by the French government,” she tweeted Sunday morning.
“2 of my employees were arrested trying to get into Paris so we could perform,” the pop star added. “I am furious and devastated, its unfair to my fans and to me.”
The trucks were reportedly detained due to dangerous slush conditions in Paris, banning large trucks from the road. They carried all set and sound equipment for the show.
“I asked if I could do a stripped version of the show, but there would be no sound or power source, its all been detained,” Gaga continued on Twitter. “I’m so sorry, angry+sad.”
Monday’s show is expected to go on as scheduled, while the canceled performance has been tentatively rescheduled for Tuesday. We hope the French “little monsters” are understanding.
