Lauren Conrad’s new reality show for MTV is officially dunzo.

The network has decided to pull the plug on our favorite reality starlet’s new series, which would focus on her fashion line, EW reports

decided not to go ahead with the show. She did do a pilot,”says David Janollari, EVP, Head of Programming for MTV.  “There were talks about
whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that
footage but that’s also a big question mark based on her interest in
that and the finances. We love her! We would love her on our network!”

Conrad has released her own statement to address the situation and says the reason the series was canned was because she refused to have her personal life filmed a la her two previous shows, “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills.” Celebrities, start taking notes because this is how you release a statement:

“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are
really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too
high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change
the show by incorporating more of my personal life,” she says. “We agreed going
into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing
on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We
delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their
viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.” We love you, gurl!

Janollari says, “It was a great attempt but it
just didn’t feel like a perfect fit for us now.” If only Conrad would have learned how to fistpump like the “Jersey Shore” crew…

At least this now gives us a reason to break out our old “Team LC” shirts.
