You know that social networking’s changed when celebrities issue statements promising not to harass each other via Twitter. When LeAnn Rimes was accused of creating a secret Twitter username, solely to harass her fiance’s ex-wife, things got pretty ugly amongst fans.
]]>Eddie Cibrian and Rimes recently announced their engagement after carrying on an increasingly public affair while they were both married. Though Cibrian’s ex, Brandi Glanville, hasn’t exactly held back her distaste for Rimes in the media, both women have now agreed to keep their feud off of Twitter.
As a collective unit, Brandi and I would like all negativity to cease toward one another. We have communicated and have a direct understanding that we are ONLY ourselves on Twitter and have no other accounts that try to destroy one another. Please for our families’ sake stop the hate now and let us live OUR lives. We don’t need opinions or outside help in order for that to happen.

In a show of support, Brandi retweeted the message.
Cibrian is currently filming the “Playboy” pilot, in which he has the lead role opposite “Step Up’s” Jenna Dewan. Rimes recently signed on to star in CMT’s original movie “Reel Love,” about “a successful, big city girl (Rimes) who returns to her small town roots after a family emergency.”
