Lena Headey has proved to be just as manipulative and sneaky as her “Game of Thrones”
character Cersei Lannister.
Following the “Game of Thrones” Season 4 finale, some fans became angry with Headey
for posting a photo to Instagram that they interpreted to be a promise of a character known as “Lady Stoneheart” showing up in the episode. The picture only showed a pile of rocks in the shape of a heart, but the caption, “My stone heart” was enough to convince some people.
According to Headey, she posted the image because she was drunk and thought it looked cool (just as we guessed
). “That was me in Palm Springs drunk going, ‘This is so pretty,'” she explains during a June 17 appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Headey gives a similar answer to the Daily Beast
, saying, “My stone heart! That was in Palm Springs and I found these stones and thought, ‘Oh, I’ll make a heart,’ and I couldn’t believe people were freaking out about it.”
But Headey’s words and Headey’s outfit tell two very different stories. Though she claims ignorance of the Lady Stoneheart connection, Headey showed up to “Kimmel” wearing a seemingly handmade shirt that had the words “I’m not sorry” inside of a heart. Lena Headey: 1, “Game of Thrones” fans: 0.
