Talk about awkward: Liam Hemsworth revealed on “Live with Kelly and Michael” while promoting his new film, “Catching Fire,” that he had a much more awkward high school experience than most people: His mother was his sex ed teacher.
“We had this one day where we were given out cards of different sexually transmitted infections, and you had to stand up and talk about the card,” Hemsworth says. “And she picked me out of the whole room and I was like, ‘Well, I have Chlamydia. Thanks for this mum, good class.'”
At least she wasn’t giving him preferential treatment! Hemsworth also told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about what a handful he was, being the youngest of three brothers in Australia.
“Growing up my brothers always thought that I was the one that got away with everything. But, I was considered the devil child of the family. My uncles used to call me ‘Triple’ for ‘Triple Six’ — they said that they tried to exorcise me at one point, but it didn’t work.”
“Catching Fire” hits theaters on Friday, Nov. 23.
