“Tha Carter V” is the last album Lil Wayne plans to release, but that doesn’t mean he’s going into retirement just yet. The rapper has a new solo LP, “I Am Not a Human Being II,” due out on Feb. 19, and his plans between that and the release of his album “Tha Carter V,” expected in 2013, are unclear. Still, the end is in sight for Weezy.
“I know y’all want me around for a little bit, [but] Carter V is my last album,” Lil Wayne tells MTV News. “Man, I’ve been rappin’ since I was 8 years old. I’m 30 now, man. That’s a long time, man.”
He continues of the reason he’s ready to be done, “When I love to do something, I’m fully focused on it and it only. And music sometimes is not that ‘it.'”
