The oft-troubled actress was in a car accident just last Friday (June 8) in which her rented Porsche collided with a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway. She was en route to the set of the Elizabeth Taylor biopic, “Liz & Dick.” Lohan reportedly says her brakes failed, while the driver of the truck claims her people tried to pay him off to keep quiet about the incident.
Police confiscated a water bottle filled with alcohol from the trunk of Lohan’s vehicle after the accident. Lohan has been to rehab multiple times for drug and alcohol use and got a DUI in 2007.
UPDATE: Doctors are reportedly evaluating Lohan, but her attorney tells ABC7 news, “She’s fine.”
A report from TMZ says paramedics responded to a 911 call, but upon arriving, they determined nothing was wrong with Lohan and did not transport her to the hospital. TMZ reports she’s already back on the set of her Lifetime movie, “Liz & Dick.”
TMZ adds that Lohan wasn’t feeling well and was complaining of exhaustion. The “Liz & Dick” production team sent a private doctor to check on her, but before
arriving, the doctor
called the hotel and asked someone to check on her. Someone from
the hotel went to her door, “checked on her,” determined she was
“unresponsive” and called 911.
Lohan’s rep Steve Honig tells E! News, “Lindsay has been working a grueling schedule for the last couple of days. Last night she worked from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. She was exhausted and went back to her room to sleep. Producers were apparently concerned and called the fire department and paramedics found her sleeping but determined that she was fine, just extremely exhausted and slightly dehydrated. She is on her way home now to rest and will be back on set later today.”
Honig adds that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
