Lindsay Lohan might be on her way to a career resurgence thanks to her roles in the Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick,” “Scary Movie 5” and the Bret Easton Ellis neo-noir “The Canyons,” but not if she skips work like she apparently did on Oct. 18.
Ellis, the novelist and screenwriter behind “American Psycho,” “The Rules of Attraction” and “Less Than Zero,” is making his directorial debut with “The Canyons,” which stars Lohan and porn star James Deen. He’s been tweeting throughout the process of making the film, and has had plenty of good things to say about working with the actress.
Not on the 18th, though — Ellis took to his Twitter to inform the world that Lohan didn’t show up to record some dialogue for the film, writing, “Patrick Bateman has just headed over to Lindsay Lohan’s hotel to
confront her as to why she missed her f—ing ADR on ‘The Canyons’
Obviously Ellis was kidding, but wouldn’t it be funny if Christian Bale really had menacingly knocked on Lohan’s door to scold her for not showing up to work?
