Don’t mess with the Lohan!
Lindsay Lohan is making good on a promise she made to seek legal action on the makers of the wildly popular video game “Grand Theft Auto” for using her image for a character named Lacey Jonas.
The actions of the video game likeness of the actress borders very closely to Lohan’s infamous real life, such as Lacey staying at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood, where Lohan resided.
The “Mean Girls” star filed a civil suit Wednesday (July 2) in Manhattan, in which she demands an unspecified amount in damages from the video game maker Take-Two Interactive.
The cover of the fifth edition of the game, released in September 2013, features a bikini-clad, curvy, blonde taking a selfie and flashing a peace sign. Could be anyone right? Well, guess who has an almost identical picture featuring herself — Lindsay (see below).
The suit states the cover photo, along with several other features of the game, incorporate “her likeness, clothing, outfits, clothing line products,
ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn
by [Lohan] … before the release of the GTA V video game.”
We have to admit–judging by the photo comparison, Lindsay might have a point.
