Betty Sue Lynn, the oldest daughter of country music legend Loretta Lynn, passed away Monday (July 29) at the age of 64, a family representative says in a statement.
The publicist says Lynn died from complications of emphysema in Waverly, Tenn, which is near her mother’s home in Hurricane Mills.
“Loretta and her family thank friends and fans for their thoughts and prayers during this time of great loss,” says the statement.
Lynn and her late husband, Oliver, had six children together — Betty Sue, Clara, 62, Ernest, 54, and twins Peggy and Patsy, 49, plus a son, Jack, who died in 1984.
Betty Sue is survived by daughters Lynn and Audrey, and five grandchildren.
