“Luther” is set for a much-anticipated return, while acclaimed new drama “Broadchurch” is heading for a US debut on BBC America this summer.
The cable network has announced its summer slate, including an August 7 premiere for “Broadchurch,” starring David Tennant of “Doctor Who” fame and Olivia Colman, at 10 p.m. ET and a special four-day run of “Luther,” starring Idris Elba in his Emmy nominated role, September 3-6 at 10 p.m. ET.
The summer originals kick off with the return of unscripted series “Bang Goes the Theory” with three back-to-back episodes on June 4 at 9 p.m.
Zombie mini-series “In the Flesh” will air June 6-8 at 10 p.m. ET, while the final season of the U.K. version of “Being Human” launches July 13 at 10 p.m.
The network’s original drama “Copper” returns for Season 2 on June 23 at 10 p.m. and unscripted stunt show “Dangerman: The Incredible Mr. Goodwin” premieres July 8 at 10 p.m. ET.
In addition to all of these, “Top Gear” will return for Season 20 on a date yet to be determined.
