Macaulay Culkin’s rep is speaking out against a report Wednesday (Aug. 1) claiming the “Home Alone” actor is a drug addict who could be dead in six months.
“[The story is] not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious,” his rep tells TMZ. “We beseech the responsible media to consider the source and its reputation and to please not perpetuate this destructive and insulting story by pursuing it any further.”
The National Enquirer writes that Culkin regularly shoots up heroin and the pain killer oxycodone and that he once nearly overdosed. The magazine also has quotes from “close friends” who say they “fear that he’ll overdose or his heart will explode.”
But the actor’s rep says the story is totally bunk.
