The newest teaser for Season 7 of “Mad Men” does away with the airport motif and goes for something a little more explicitly ’60s-flavored.
The promo is essentially an animated version of the show’s key art, done by graphic artist Milton Glaser. The silhouette of Don walks from an empty white room into a riot of colors and images, including the Chrysler building, a woman’s face and a wine glass.
The music is David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold the World,” which is both thematically appropriate and tied to the era: It was released in the United States in 1970, which if creator Matt Weiner has his way is about where the show will end up.
“Mad Men” Season 7 premieres Sunday, April 13 on AMC. What do you think of the new promo?
