“Made in Jersey,” premiering tonight (Sept. 28), owes its charm to Janet Montgomery‘s charismatic portrayal of a working-class Jersey girl using her street smarts to succeed as a junior lawyer at a high-powered law firm.
And even though Martina Garretti has a Garden State accent and some questionable tastes in fashion and hairstyling, she earns our sympathy without descending into a stereotype.
