Short of switching formats and running back-to-back football games 24/7, there’s only so much a network can do to woo the typical male audience. By typical male we mean: 20-something to 40-something, in a relationship, holding down a ho-hum job and into playing networked games with buddies.
We assume this because “Man Up,” the half-hour comedy that will follow Tim Allen’s new “Last Man Standing” man-themed hour of Tuesday night comedy, seems to be about exactly these guys. Three friends — played by Mather Zickel, Christopher Moynihan and Dan Fogler — who are, as the network describes it, trying to “get in touch with their inner tough guys.”
