Mandy Moore didn’t need much time to find her next acting job after leaving ABC’s comedy pilot “Pulling.”
Moore, who departed “Pulling” after agreeing with the show’s producers that the role wasn’t a great fit for her, has landed at “The Advocates,” a drama project at CBS, Deadline reports. She joins “Southland’s” Ben McKenzie in the cast.
“The Advocates,” from “The Mentalist” creator Bruno Heller, stars Moore as a lawyer who teams up with an ex-con (McKenzie) to work as victim advocates, skirting the edges of the law to do right by their clients. Her casting comes less than a week after she left “Pulling” (Kristen Schaal replaced her).
Moore has been attached to a couple of pilots in recent seasons, but they haven’t gone to series.
