Actor Matt LeBlanc stopped by “The Tonight Show” Thursday (Jan. 23) where he and host Jay Leno reminisced about how it’s been 20 years since the first time LeBlanc did the late-night show. They also teased Leno’s upcoming cameo appearance on “Episodes,” LeBlanc’s Showtime comedy about making a sitcom in Hollywood.
On Sunday’s (Jan. 26) episode of “Episodes,” LeBlanc’s on-screen persona is appearing on “The Tonight Show” to promote “Pucks!”, the show within a show. LeBlanc gets mad that he’s Leno’s second guest instead of his first guest and the two have words in the dressing room, which LeBlanc tells Zap2it was really fun to film.
“That was a fun bit. He was great. The fact that we got Jay Leno to say ‘you f***ing j***-bag’ was amazing,” says LeBlanc, laughing. “Even in his stand-up, I don’t think he uses foul language. It was great to see that, I love Jay.”
LeBlanc also says that sometimes he can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the “Friends” roller coaster started, which he was reminded of when Leno talked with him about the first time he did “The Tonight Show.”
“I thought, ‘Wow, it’s been that long.’ I mean, I can do the math, I
know the dates, but it just kind of hit me as a result of that,” LeBlanc tells Zap2it. “I still
get just as excited to go be on ‘The Tonight Show,’ there’s something
about that. Been doing it for 20 years, that’s crazy.”
“Episodes” Season 3 is airing now on Showtime on Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
