“DeVon makes me better, makes my life fuller, and completes my quality of life,” Good tells People of her new husband, whom she met six years ago but began dating after they worked together on the movie “Jumping the Broom.” “He’s truly on my team and I am truly on his. God revealed my heart to him like nobody else.”
Franklin says of his new bride, “I’ve never had more peace, fun, and joy than I’ve had with her.”
Good wore a custom-made R-Mine gown with a purple train, which she describes as “handsome.” “I didn’t want girly,” she tells People of the dress. “I wanted handsome. It’s got a bit of a masculine feel to it. I wanted something that felt a tad bit rebellious and out of the ordinary. That felt closer to my personality.”
Purple and gold were the colors of the night, which had a Spanish and bayou theme.
The couple will take a mini honeymoon to Big Sur and go on their real trip later in 2012 when Good finishes production on “Infamous.” They plan to wait to have kids so they can “get to know each other as husband and wife,” Franklin says.
