They may play troubled spouses on Lifetime’s “The Client List,” but Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay are much more in sync in real life. The two, who’ve been dating for the past 15 months, revealed Tuesday (June 4) that they’re expecting their first child together. While most are familiar with Hewitt, those who aren’t watching her current hit may be wondering just who Hallisay is.
Hallisay, 34, grew up in Washington, D.C. and studied at Cornell University, earning a degree in Economics and History. Before moving to L.A. to pursue an acting career, he worked on Wall Street, about which he told Starry Constellation Magazine.com, “I was slaving away at that and I had a really good time with it, but it got to the point where I said, “You know, I had always dreamed about seeing what acting was all about and television.”
After a string of guest spots on TV shows including “Strong Medicine,” “Without a Trace” and “Bones,” he landed his first series regular role on The CW’s drama “Priviliged” in 2008. The show only lasted one season. In 2011, he worked on the unaired pilot of NBC flop “Love Bites,” where he met Hewitt for the first time.
In 2012, he reunited with Hewitt on “The Client List,” playing her criminal husband on a recurring basis. By episode seven of Season 1, he was upgraded to series regular.
Beyond more “Client List” and the birth of his child, Hallisay’s future will include a leap into feature films, with an appearance of 2014’s horror film “Jessabelle.”
