Michelle Obama has had a much better year than her husband, President Barack Obama. Clothing-wise, at least.
She looked hot in a shocking pink Michael Kors fitted sleeveless dress at last year’s White House Correspondents Dinner. And at this year’s star-studded event, she stayed in the same color family, wearing a sexy red jersey, off-the-shoulder, cap-sleeve dress by Saigon-born, Nepalese-based designer Prabal Gurung.
]]>Maria Pinto much. Pinto, one of the first small designers to be selected by Obama during the 2008 election, closed up her Chicago boutique last week. Who can forget the red Pinto dress Michelle wore to meet the Bushes on their last day in the White House? Or the sleeveless purple sheath she wore to give her first fist bump? Or the much praised, long-sleeved teal dress at the 2008 Democratic Convention. Although out of business, Pinto has the distinct honor to be part of America’s first lady political fashion history. What do you think of Michelle Obama‘s Correspondents Dinner fashion choice this year? Do you prefer the casual hot pink or the more formal bright red?
