Miley Cyrus graced the “Late Night” stage Tuesday (Oct. 8), where she had a rather fun interview with host Jimmy Fallon and also took part in an a capella version of “We Can’t Stop” with The Roots and Fallon (video above) — a good reminder that hey, remember how Miley can sing? ‘Cause she can. It’s pretty great.
Below, she talks to Fallon about her “SNL” gig, saying that it was nice to show the world how she’s not just the crazy person who has dominated headlines since her 2013 MTV VMAs performance.
“Everyone always has something to say and in the end, people forget that what I love to do is that I grew up performing. … [‘SNL’] was a good time for me to show people that I don’t just twerk and lick stuff. I can actually sing and I can act a little bit too,” says Cyrus.
Other bon mots include: “I don’t really like getting dressed period, as you can tell.”
and, of Britney Spears being on her album “Bangerz,” “I really wanted to put someone who I felt represented pop music to me and that was Britney. … Britney was my first album. I went and bought that and Metallica, that’s how bi-polar I was at a really young age.”
Fallon also shows off a tattoo that someone got of Miley Cyrus riding the wrecking ball from her now-famous music video and it’s …. kind of terrifying. Photo below.
