Former NBA All-Star guard Daron “Mookie” Blaylock is in critical condition following a car crash that happened in Atlanta. Reports say he is on life support.
Police tell The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Blaylock was driving in Clayton County, Ga. when his SUV crossed the median in the road and hit a van head on. He was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center along with the man and woman riding in the vehicle he crashed into. The woman is said to be bleeding internally, and the man’s status has not been revealed.
It’s unclear why Blaylock’s car crossed over the center of the road, though police are currently investigating the crash. Blaylock spent 13 seasons of basketball career playing for the Atlanta Hawks. He was also twice picked for the NBA’s All-Defensive First Team.
