Not only is NBC home to the upcoming Oklahoma Tornado relief benefit concert headlined by Blake Shelton, but the Peacock will be airing “The Women’s Concert for Change: The Sound of Change Live from London” on Sunday, June 2, one day after the concert tapes in the U.K.
The event is the centerpiece of Chime for Change, a new campaign founded by Gucci to raise funds and awareness for female empowerment around the world, distributed to non-profit organizations focused in the key areas of education, health care and justice.
Beyonce, the co-founder of Chime for Change, will headline the concert event, with additional performances by Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Machine, Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend and Timbaland. Madonna, James Franco, Salma Hayek, Zoe Saldana, Blake Lively, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Gloria Steinem and Archbishop Desmond Tutu will be on hand as presenters.
The global concert event will be broadcast live from London on June 1 to over 175 countries and will also include PSAs featuring Franco, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and other celebrities.
“The Women’s Concert for Change: The Sound of Change Live from London” will air June 2 at 9 p.m. ET.
