Los Angeles, Boston and Washington D.C. film critics already tagged Facebook movie “The Social Network” as the Best Picture of 2010. Now the New York Film Critics Circle is adding to the accolades, giving Best Picture and Best Director to “Network” and its director David Fincher.
The NYFCC deviated a bit on screenplay. Instead of Aaron Sorkin‘s “Network” screenplay, which swept the other cities’ choices, the NYC critics went with “The Kids Are All Right,” the dramedy starring Annette Bening and Julianne Moore as a lesbian couple.
“The Kids” also earned some acting awards, the first for the movie from the critics. Bening was nominated for Best Actress and Mark Ruffalo was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. The full list of New York Film Critics Circle awards is below.
