On Monday (July 2), Alec Baldwin posted these three words — “It’s been fun” — to his Twitter followers and promptly deleted his @alecbaldwin account. The move comes just days after Baldwin married Hilaria Thomas in New York.
This isn’t the first time Baldwin has sworn off the social networking site — he jumped ship in December 2011 after a run-in with American Airlines, though he quickly rejoined.
Lately, Twitter has been a platform for Baldwin to take his critics to task and share his side of the story on two recent scuffles with the paparazzi. After an incident with a New York Daily News photographer who tried to snap pics of Baldwin and then-fiancee Thomas outside a Manhattan courthouse, Baldwin tweeted the phone number of the Daily News editor and asked his followers to call.
In September 2011, Baldwin also used Twitter to berate a Starbucks barista.
“Starbucks on 93 and B’way,” he tweeted. “Uptight Queen barrista named JAY has an attitude problem.”
